Online examinations for AP PG Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) may not be feasible as the government is contemplating to conduct PGECET in the paper-based mode for this academic year. Following the series of discussion between government and private institutions regarding the PGECET, the government has denied to conduct online examinations and stated the examinations will be conducted in the paper based format in the absence of private institutions. Quoting the reasons for not conducting online examinations one of the senior officials said that all the government colleges may not find the requisite infrastructure to hold online examinations. Secondly, online tests require computer labs with safe environment so that the data cannot be compromised.
