இந்திய பல்கலைக்கழகங்களுடன் ஒப்பந்தம் செய்ய யாழ்ப்பாணம் பல்கலை. ஆர்வம்!!

சென்னை: படிப்புகளை அளிப்பதில் இந்திய பல்கலைக்கழகங்களுடன் ஒப்பந்தம் செய்துகொள்ள இலங்கையின் யாழ்ப்பாணம் பல்கலைக்கழகம் ஆர்வமாக உள்ளதாகத் தெரியவந்துள்ளது.

கல்வி மட்டுமல்லாமல் கலாசார விஷயங்களிலும் இரு நாடுகளிடையே உறவைப் பலப்படுத்த இலங்கை முயற்சித்து வருவதாக யாழ்ப்பாணம் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் துணைவேந்தர் வசந்தி அரசரத்னம் தெரிவித்தார்.

திருச்சியில் என்ஐடி கல்வி நிறுவனத்துக்கு வந்த அவர் செய்தியாளர்களிடம் கூறியதாவது: இந்தியாவில் கல்வி வேகமாக வளர்ச்சி பெற்று வருகிறது. எங்கள் நாட்டில் கிடைக்காத பல்வேறு படிப்புகள் இங்கு கிடைக்கின்றன. எனவே எங்கள் நாட்டு மாணவர்களுக்கும் இத்தகைய கல்வி கிடைக்க வேண்டும் என்பதில் நாங்கள் ஆர்வமாக இருக்கிறோம்.

அதற்காக இந்தியாவிலுள்ள பல்கலைக்கழகங்களுடன் கல்வி ஒப்பந்தம் செய்துகொள்வதில் ஆர்வமாக உள்ளோம்.

சமீபத்தில் சென்னை பல்கலைக்கழகத்துடன் யாழ்ப்பாணம் பல்கலை. புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் செய்துகொண்டுள்ளது.

மேலும் இலங்கையில் உள்ள 2 பல்கலைக்கழகங்களுக்கு ரூ.60 கோடி நிதியுதவியை இந்தியா அளித்துள்ளது. இந்த நிதியைக் கொண்டு பல்கலைக்கழகங்களில் அடிப்படைக் கட்டமைப்பு வசதியை மேம்படுத்தவுள்ளோம்.

இந்த நிதியின் மூலம் யாழ்ப்பாணம் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் கட்டடங்களும் கட்டவுள்ளோம் என்றார் அவர்.

இலங்கையிலுள்ள தென் கிழக்கு பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் துணைவேந்தர் எம்.எம்.எம். நாஜிம் கூறியதாவது:

பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் பயிலும் பெண்களை முன்னேற்ற போதுமான நடவடிக்கைகளை எடுத்து வருகிறோம். அவர்களை தொழில்முனைவோராக்க நாங்கள் முயற்சி செய்து வருகிறோம். இலங்கைப் போரில் கணவர்களை இழந்த பெண்களுக்கு வேலைவாய்ப்புகளை உருவாக்கித் தருகிறோம்.

The vice-chancellor said that the University has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Madras University.India had given financial aid of Rs 600 million to the two universities for creating infrastructure for teaching engineering and agriculture engineering. The University of Jaffna had begun construction of buildings as part of the plan, the vice-chancellor said.He said many women had lost their husbands during the civil war in Lanka and they were looking for career opportunities.
